Fall 2007 Fashion Trends
With the Summer Sales in full throttle (and the non-stop rain we are experiencing) we are turning our attention to what we will be wearing this Fall.Sparkle and Shine
The metallic trend is continuing into Fall with nearly every collection showing some form of sparkle. Knits, dresses and tops are embellished with jewels and sequins. Silver, bronze and gold cocktail dresses will be huge for the party season. We love Nanette Lepores sleeveless bronze Lyricist dress which is bang on trend for Fall.

Sweaters
Cosy up this Fall in a chunky cardigan. Long or short with bell or kimono sleeves the cardigan is the alternative to the coat. Popular colours in knitwear include black, cream, purple and greys. We love Developments cream chunky cardigan which looks fabulously cosy over dresses and slouchy pants.

Pants and suits are making a return but not necessarily matching. Pants are slouchy with higher waists. Chunky knits or nipped in blazers look great over wide-leg pants.

Dresses
This Fall the dress is either dark (black, grey) or very bright (purple, fuchsia, metallic) and features pussy bows, puff sleeves, pleat necks and of course sparkles and sequins. The silhouette is slimmer then last season. A-line is also very popular. Textured tights will be huge this Fall and most designers sent models down the runway wearing some form of jewelled hosiery. Jackets and Coats Funnel necks are making a return this Fall. Jackets are fitted with nipped in waists accentuated with bow details. Sleeves are ¾ length so elbow length gloves will be everywhere. Coats are big and voluminous - think Opera or Cape style. Our pick from Fall’s jackets and coats is Tracy Reese A-line full neck with cute bow belt.

Denim While most denim collections have some form of skinny or straight leg jean the big story this Fall is the higher waist flare jean. The revised Fall flare is dark indigo and slightly lower and less flared then the Summer flare jean.
